      <image:title>Work - Violin Reverse Engineering</image:title>
<image:caption>Violin — Reverse Engineering from 3D Scan The goal of this project was to transform a handcrafted wooden violin, created by an expert luthier, into a precise NURBS 3D model suitable for CNC milling. Starting from a dense 3D scan of the original instrument, the main challenge was to reconstruct smooth, continuous surfaces that captured the subtle nuances of the handmade form. Using Rhinoceros 3D, I carefully rebuilt each surface, ensuring accuracy and fluid transitions across the model. Beyond the technical process, this project offered a rewarding insight into the craftsmanship behind musical instruments — blending traditional artistry with digital precision.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Ergohuman Chair — 3D Modeling for Architectural Visualization This project was developed for Proyecto Digital Studio (Spain), who required a high-fidelity 3D replica of the Ergohuman office chair for integration into an architectural visualization scene. Working from reference photographs and basic dimensional data, I reconstructed the chair’s complex geometry using Sub-D and NURBS modeling in Rhinoceros 3D. The process focused on achieving precise proportions, continuous surfaces, and realistic manufacturability. Each transition, ergonomic contour, and mechanical component was carefully modeled to ensure both aesthetic accuracy and functional coherence. The final deliverables included a NURBS model with V-Ray materials applied, as well as a polygonal mesh with UV mapping optimized for 3ds Max rendering workflows.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Rhinozine Article — E-Kart Design Project As part of my teaching role at the Universidad de Palermo, I guided students through the development of an E-Kart concept, exploring every stage of the industrial design process — from research and ideation to prototyping and testing. The project encouraged a balance between creativity and technical precision, with students defining their own design language, experimenting with both digital and physical modeling techniques, and presenting fully realized concepts. Many participants chose Rhinoceros 3D as their main modeling tool, achieving an exceptional level of detail and presentation quality. Their outstanding results caught the attention of the McNeel team, leading to a collaboration and the publication of an article in Rhinozine, Rhino’s official digital magazine. <image:caption>Magellanic Penguin — 3D Modeling for Infographic The objective of this project was to create an anatomically accurate 3D model of a Magellanic penguin for an educational infographic. The final presentation, produced by the Viva Magazine team, was awarded a Bronze Medal at Malofiej 2008, one of the most prestigious international infographic competitions. The process began with a hand sketch by Jorge Portaz, guided by the creative direction of Hernán Cañellas. I carried out extensive research on skeletal structure and anatomical proportions to ensure scientific accuracy, while Hernán Cordero Funes collaborated on portions of the 3D modeling. The result was a detailed and realistic model that combined artistic precision with factual integrity — a key factor in the project’s success and recognition. <image:caption>Gears of War Vault - Production 3D Modeling This was one of the most complex and rewarding projects I’ve worked on. Collaborating with Genesis Concept and Design Studio, I was responsible for the 3D modeling of the organic skull and gear components used in the production of this limited-edition Xbox housing. The process began with an artistic 3D model and a series of concept illustrations, which required extensive remodeling to meet production standards. I performed a full retopology of the base mesh, reworked nearly 80% of the geometry, and refined wall thicknesses and small details to preserve the expressive intent of the design while ensuring technical feasibility. The final model was delivered as a SolidWorks part, fully prepared for assembly with the product’s other components. Software used: ZBrush, SolidWorks, Rhino with T-Splines, and Modo.</image:caption>

For these courses, I developed this rendered shoe model, chosen for its ability to showcase both innovative design and advanced material technologies. The concept emphasizes the expressive potential of high-performance materials and their complex, hi-tech morphology, while integrating the familiar elements of contemporary sports footwear. The project also explored the full modeling capabilities of Rhinoceros 4, pushing the limits of precision and detail. This image was featured on the V-Ray for Rhino website during the plugin’s first release, and also highlighted by T-Splines (Sub-D Plugin for Rhino). In addition, I created a series of video tutorials for T-Splines in 2007 based on this model. Each project required balancing aesthetic intent with engineering feasibility, making critical design and technical decisions to preserve the original creative vision while ensuring manufacturability. The process involved developing highly detailed surface geometry, fine-tuning proportions, and maintaining consistency with Mattel’s design language. Primary software tools included Rhinoceros 3D using NURBS and Sub-D modeling, along with the VSR Plugin (developed by ICEM Surf and Alias engineers). <image:title>Work - Post-it Dispenser - Scotch Note dispenser (Copy)</image:title>
<image:caption>Scotch Post-it Dispenser This project began with a series of concept sketches that needed to be transformed into precise 3D models and realistic renders for presentation to the final client, 3M. My role was to interpret the designer’s vision while refining every detail to ensure the product could smoothly transition from concept to production. Balancing aesthetic fidelity with manufacturability was key — every curve, joint, and surface was carefully modeled to preserve the design intent while meeting real-world constraints. The final 3D files served multiple purposes: they were used to produce rapid prototypes, provided a foundation for mold design, and even supported marketing visuals for the product’s Amazon listing. The project was developed using Rhinoceros 3D, T-Splines, Shape Modeling Plugin, V-Ray for Rhino, and Solidworks. The design studio I worked for (Seventh Sense) included me at the patent: US D714869 S1</image:caption>

<image:title>Work - Deep Sea Discovery - Deep Sea Discovery Creatures (Copy)</image:title>
<image:caption>Deep Sea Discovery Creatures This project started with a collection of lively hand sketches — imaginative sea creatures waiting to come to life in 3D. My task was to translate those drawings into detailed digital models and expressive renders. The biggest challenge was finding the right balance between realism and a playful cartoon style, while preserving the personality and emotion captured in each original sketch. Working alongside Envoi Design Studio, we refined every aspect — from the subtle flow of hair and the texture of the skin to the poses that gave each character its unique attitude. The models were created in Modo, with texture maps developed in Photoshop to achieve the final look and feel.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Flyline — R/C Flight System Development The development of the Flyline R/C Flight System encompassed a diverse range of design and production challenges, integrating both creative and technical expertise. Key contributions included: Extensive research into classic and modern warplane designs to define form language and design authenticity. Collaboration with the technical department to address aerodynamic performance and material resistance requirements. Development, 3D modeling, and rendering of diverse packaging solutions for the graphic design team. Creation of A-Class 3D models for approximately 30 planes and a remote control unit, optimized for production. Design and modeling of experimental prototypes for rapid prototyping. High-quality rendering of all aircraft and packaging for product presentations, Amazon listings, and marketing campaigns. This project required a balance of conceptual creativity, engineering accuracy, and visual communication, showcasing the full spectrum of industrial design capabilities.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Work - Spider-Man Stunt Buggy</image:title>
<image:caption>Spider-Man Stunt Buggy This project involved developing a detailed 3D model for rapid prototyping. The main challenge was to faithfully translate the original design intent from Hasbro’s concept sketches into a precise digital model. Although technical constraints such as wall thickness and draft angles were not critical at this stage, I applied my industrial design expertise to incorporate them wherever possible. The result is a prototype that remains true to the creative vision while achieving a high level of technical accuracy—virtually identical to the final 3D production model.</image:caption>
